One of the great things about the internet is of course being able to read what others have to say about goings on in the world via their blog. One of my favorite blogs to read  is Herrrick Kimball’s “The Deliberate Agrarian”. He has a couple of great posts regarding the current economic situation. While I would have thought about writing a post on the topic myself, Herrick has done an excellent job reading my mind. In order to both save time and still get my point across, here are a couple of links to his posts.

Where’s Waldo?

You may be wondering what has happened to Ma and Pa. What could possibly keep us from blogging for soooo long? Well, we have had several major changes in our life the last couple of months. The first to come along was that Ma is pregnant! She is carrying number four and we are so excited.  This little blessing is due around the end of April. This has kept us from the blogosphere because Ma has been very sick so far. From about week 6 she has had what we call all-day-sickness; not morning sickness as some would call it. We are praying that she will begin feeling better soon.

The other major change is that we have moved from Tennessee to Kentucky. As some of you know, about a year ago an opportunity to move to a farm in South Central Kentucky came up. We were very excited about the prospect but a few things had to happen first. The main one of course would be selling the house. Although the housing market has been very difficult for many, our home sold in just a couple of months. Praise YHVH! We were begining to wonder if it was going to sell, but we closed the deal about three weeks ago. We have been on the farm for three weeks and are really enjoying it. Although, I have been unable to be there very much. For the time being I am commuting about 120 miles round-trip for work each day. This has left very little time for much more than sleeping. The plan is for me to continue the commute through the winter and then find a job in our area so that I can be home more and start working on the farm more.

So, that is what has been going on with us. We have wanted to post about what is going on for quite a while but it just hasn’t been the highest priority. As for our blogging future, I’m not sure what is going to happen. Dial-up is the only internet connection that is available in our area right now (I’m writing this post at work!!! Shhh…I know the boss really well…He’s my Dad!)

So long for now. I’ll try to post some pics of the farm in the next couple of days.
